What is Astral Projection?

Astral Projection or Astral Travel is one of the most amazing experiences I have had the pleasure to participate in. It is quite simply, consciously leaving your body as it sleeps. It’s like being awake whilst you are dreaming.

You leave your body and enter the astral realm, which is the next closest dimension to us here in the physical world. The astral realm is actually all around us we just can’t see it. The astral realm contains all our thoughts and emotions.

It is the place that we go to when we sleep. In our dream state we stay close to our physical body and we project emotional content from our subconscious mind. We are not conscious during this process. Being awake and conscious in this realm is known as astral travel.

Strange Things Happen In The Middle Of The Night

People often report “old hag syndrome” which is waking in the middle of the night with an old lady holding you down or waking and being held down by someone else in the middle of the night. There are also many thousands of reported cases of sleep paralysis where people wake in the middle of the night and they cannot move – it feels lie you are paralysed. All quite fear invoking until you understand what is going on.

Here’s what happening. When you are conscious in the Astral realm or when you wake up in the Astral realm, it feels no different to being awake during the day – you are just without your physical body. Sometimes you accidentally wake up in the middle of the night completely conscious BUT in the Astral realm. You think you are awake – you are awake – your consciousness is awake but your body is still asleep. You think you are paralysed because you can’t physically move but you need to move in a different way using thought, not the normal mechanisms used for movement. This catches most people unaware and they think they are paralysed.

Sometimes you wake to find strange creatures or the old lady from “old hag syndrome” and it can be frightening but it’s all happening in the Astral not physical world. You cannot be physically hurt. I know this can be frightening but you can think your way out of these situations with practice.

You are right to some extend. Astral realm is the reality in another frequency range that we can’t reach while we are within our physical bodies (We can reach it when we take our astral body out of our physical body) It has nothing to do with dreaming because it is another dimension of REALITY. I think what you are trying to say is, Some dreams are not dreams, they are astral projection but because the person who is experiencing it cant understand the difference (because of the lack of knowledge that the majority of the humans have toward this phenomenon or inner talent) they simply take the astral projection as a vivid dream.

We can project emotions from our subconscious to the astral realm but our thoughts are not all of the realities in the Astral realms. Think of Astral Realm as foreign countries that you have never traveled to. There are thousands but millions of realms, with kingdoms, creatures and inhabitants that have their own reality, They operate on a very independent intellectual level and they possess their own reality.

Your explanation is very much general about Astral projection but I think you crossed the line between Astral projection and Lucid dreaming when you said ” all of our emotions and thoughts are manifested in the astral realm” this is the main characteristic of lucid dreaming, where people take control of their subconscious and create things in their dreams while they are sleep.

to sum this up I thank you for showing interest and posting on this subject.
