A Course In Miracles

What is “A Course In Miracles”

A Course In Miracles (also referred to as ACIM) is a three part book published in the 1970’s which describes a complete and very thorough metaphysical thought system said to be attributed to Jesus. The information was channeled through Helen Schucman over seven years from 1965 through to 1972.

The book consists of the main text, a work book for students and a workbook for teachers.

The curriculum the Course proposes is carefully conceived and is explained, step by step, at both the theoretical and practical levels. It emphasises application rather than theory, and experience rather than theology. Specifically, it states that “a universal theology is impossible, but a universal experience is not only possible but necessary”

Although it is Christian in statement – it deals with universal spiritual themes. It emphasises that it is but one version of the universal curriculum. There are many others, this one differing from them only in form. They all lead to God in the end.

A Course In Miracles is very good and no summary that I can write will do it justice.

A Course In Miracles, the category has moved and can now be found here.
