When it comes to star signs, without a doubt, the most popular Astrology question is “What star sign is good for me?”  And while relationship astrology is a complex study, there are a few simple rules to help you find your answer.

First off – star signs of the same quality; that is Fire, Earth, Water or Air share a mutual understanding and get along well.  The Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are enthusiastic, optimistic and often move quickly; they thrive on excitement and inspiration.  Earth star signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) are more cautious and grounded; think practical.  Water babies (Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio) are sensitive and intuitive; often emotionally receptive.  While air star signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) are social, intellectual and natural communicators.

Fire star signs can have lasting relationships with other fire people, but actually thrive with air signs!  Just think how air fans a fire and you get the idea.  Air signs can feed the fire person positive thought forms, which results in a win win situation.  Although fire star signs are attracted to earth people, it’s not always an easy match.  Because once you put dirt on a fire, you put it.  Fire people are excited about their potential, while the earth types are focused on what is – coming back down to earth can be a real drag for these inspired types!  However – if you add water to a fire; you get steam.  When Fire and Water people team up, it becomes passionately emotional!  Earth with Earth or Water is a great combination for financial success.   But Earth and Air have little in common; which can sometimes indicate ‘meant to be’.  The same applies to Water and Air relationships.

Star Signs – More To Consider

Secondly – we have to consider each star sign’s personal mode or style, which would be Cardinal, Fixed or Mutuble.  The Cardinal group is action oriented, somewhat restless and includes Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.  Fixed signs, Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo are focused; have strong opinions and can be stubborn at times.  Mutable signs like Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces are more adaptable and go with the flow.

Cardinal people get along with other cardinals and with mutable types, however the fixed types can frustrate them.  These people like to move fast and can lose patience with slower moving folks.  Also because they’re all about action, trying to live with a fixed sign can bog them down; making life seem like an obstacle course.

Mutables can get along with anybody.  Yet since they tend to float, it’s better if they partner up with a fixed or cardinal sign instead of another mutable.  They need an anchor, otherwise they can drift off to nowhere together.

Fixed signs are generally strong people.  However, when they partner up with another fixed sign they are bound to battle.  They work best with a mutable sign which can take their direction.

Star Signs that are trine (same quality) are very compatible. The most challenging mates are 4 signs either side of yours.  We all know that opposites attract, but did you know the sign before and after your opposite means kismet?  Since there’s no reason for you two to be together, it means you are ‘meant to be’!

Once you identify your quality (earth, air, fire or water) and your mode (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutuable) you can easily determine who’s good for you in terms of star signs!

The Best for Aries
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Aquarius.  The most challenging are Cancer (too emotional) and Capricorn (too traditional) for entrepenurial Aries.  An Aries can fall for it’s opposite (Libra) but if they find themselves with a Virgo or Scorpio, it’s a sign of kismet!

The Best for Taurus
Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces and Cancer.  Most Challenging are Scorpio (too controlling), Leo (too demanding) and Aquarius (too aloof). Kismet mates are Libra and Sagittarius!

The Best for Gemini
Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Leo and Aries.  Most challenging are Virgos and Pisces, (though you’ll find a lot of these couples).  Kismet mates are Scorpio and Capricorns!

The Best for Cancer
Cancer, Pisces, Taurus and Scorpio.  Most challenging is Aries (too self absorbed for needy Cancer).  A Capricorn mate works if both partners are the traditional types.  Kismet mates are Aquarius and Sagittarius!

Best for Leo
Leo, Aries, Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius.  Most challenging are Scorpio and Taurus (too possessive for social Leo).  Leo and Aquarius are super attracted to each other, but it’s better if they’re friends.  Kismet matches are Capricorn and Pisces!
 
The Best for Virgo
Capricorn, Taurus, Scorpio and Cancer.  Most challenging are Gemini and Sagittarius (but really nasso bad because all three signs are mutable, meaning they can adapt).  Virgo/Pisces combos are common, even though they’re opposite.  Kismet mates are Aries and Aquarius!

The Best for Libra
Libra, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Aquarius.  Most challenging are Cancers and Capricorns.  Aries (your opposite) works sometimes, Pisces and Taurus are kismet mates!

The Best for Scorpio
Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer, also Virgo and Capricorn.  Most challenging are Leos and Aquarius (you all are too willful)!  Taurus and Scorpio are attracted, yet both stubborn.  Kismet mates are Aries and Gemini!

The Best for Sagittarius
Sagittarius, Gemini, Leo, Aries, Libra and Aquarius.  No challenges here, Sag gets along with everybody!  Kismet mates are Taurus and Cancer!

The Best for Capricorn
Other earth signs, Taurus and Virgo, also Scorpio and Pisces.  Most challenging are Aries and Libra (Aries jumps before thinking, Libra likes to laze).
For real success find another Cap!  Kismet mates are Gemini and Leo!

The Best for Aquarius
Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius and Aries.  Most challenging are Taurus and Scorpio (these two are demanding types for such free spirits).  Kismet mates are Cancer and Virgo!

The Best for Pisces
Scorpio, Cancer, Capricorn and Taurus.  Most challenging are Gemini and Sagittarius.  Sure you can live together, but often have different time schedules.  Kismet mates are Libra and Leo!
