Information that is channeled from various sources / beings.

Conscious channeling: The channel learns to distinguish between personal thought and thoughts transmitted from spirit beings, speaks them out loud or writes them down. This way the channel remains in control of his/her own body. With this method personal thought may color the channeling to some extent.

Of course the more you have worked on yourself the easier conscious channelling is. Through self development, that is by removing emotional blocks, dealing with negative thought patterns and destroying your Ego you are able to open a channel of communication.
